How do I prepare for a scan?

There is little to do to prepare for an MRI—unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you may eat and drink normally before the procedure. Before your scan, you will be asked to wear a gown, and remove magnetic jewelry or clothing.

What happens during a scan?

You’ll be asked to lie on a table, which will then slide into the MRI machine. Whether your head goes in the tunnel or stays outside depends on which part of your body is being scanned. But don’t worry about getting bored—at TSSI, our MRI machine has a television screen built into the scanning chamber.

How long will it take?

Our machine is remarkably fast. In fact, it can image six scans in half the time it takes most other machines to do one. In other words, expect to be on your way in an hour or (much) less.

When will my results be available?

Your results will be sent to your referring doctor as early as the next day.

How much does it cost?

You will find our procedures are priced competitively to—or even slightly less than—what a hospital typically charges. We are offering an introductory 15% discount for payment at the time of service for patients who are not covered by one of our contracted insurers.

How does billing work?

We accept and submit for payment for most major health insurers including Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Health Care, among others. 

We require payment of any unpaid deductibles or co-pays at the time of service.
